In 1993, Tim
McGuinness, then Director of Marketing and Business Development
Consultant for Computer Support
Corporation, changed the name of the existing product "Arts &
Letters Graphics Editor"
to "Arts & Letters Express" for the release of newest version.
In addition, Tim McGuinness was responsible for the
design of several new features in the product, as well as for
expansion in other areas, including clipart resulting from the new EXPO
Series products. This version of the Graphics Editor, included
numerous improvements in ease and flexibility, giving "Express"
another shot at life and success!
As a result of these market initiatives, Arts &
Letters Express enjoyed significant success in the market place by
mid-1993 - beating Corel Draw and others. However, after 1994,
the CSC product line then declined faced with ever increasing competition
from Corel and elsewhere. The product still survives, and
remains the best and easiest to use drawing and illustration product
available for Windows. |
